This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

We are seeking a Level 3 Product Owner to join the Lunar Apps team. Our team is responsible for developing innovative products that accelerate aerospace engineering and push the boundaries of what can be achieved with engineers collaborating across complex systems. As a Level 3 Product Owner, your expertise and technical contributions will directly influence the creation of tools which change how Lunar Permanence stores, analyzes, and utilizes Systems Engineering data.

A successful candidate will:

  • Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to develop and manage comprehensive software development plans for supply chain initiatives, ensuring scope, schedules, and resources are aligned.
  • Bring structure and organization to the software development process through clear documentation, tracking of milestones, risk management, and proactive communication.
  • Partner with other Product Managers, Program Managers, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into clear, executable technical deliverables.
  • Facilitate effective sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and release readiness activities, driving adherence to Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Identify and resolve program risks, impediments, and cross-team dependencies proactively to ensure on-time delivery of software solutions.
  • Track key metrics and program progress, providing transparent status updates and driving accountability among team members and stakeholders.
  • Cultivate a continuous improvement mindset across engineering and operations teams, seeking opportunities to enhance development efficiency, software quality, and team collaboration.
  • Maintain strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, acting as a bridge to ensure clarity around goals, commitments, and progress.
     

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Passion For Our Mission: Millions of people living and working in space!
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, supply chain, business, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management or similar roles within software, supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated ability to create and manage detailed program plans, coordinate cross-functional teams, and deliver complex technical projects
  • Experience working directly with software engineering teams, facilitating Agile or similar methodologies
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to drive alignment across multiple teams
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Product Management, Technology Management, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Direct experience with Aerospace Systems Engineering data, analysis, and processes
  • Experience in Space Vehicles, Space Launch, or related industries
  • Experience with software project management tools, Agile frameworks, and technical documentation, especially Jira and Figma/FigJam
  • Track record of delivering products in fast-paced, high-growth, or complex environments
  • Domain knowledge in engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and/or aerospace


 

Compensation Range for:

CO applicants is $129,399.00 - $181,157.55 WA applicants is $141,162.00 - $197,626.80

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
