Job Description
The purpose of this role is to define and maintain the standards for project/programme management within their area of the organisation, providing expert guidance, support and insight and the primary source of delivery information and metrics.

Key Accountabilities
- Demand Facilitation: Manage the end-to-end demand lifecycle, working with requestors and stakeholders to refine and shape requests into actionable initiatives. Ensure clear definition of scope, requirements, assumptions, dependencies, and delivery approach.
- Project Governance and Delivery: Define and apply appropriate project management methodologies across initiatives. Directly manage selected projects to ensure delivery to agreed scope, timelines, and quality standards, including coordination of vendor delivery where applicable.
- Alignment and Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a central connector across global platforms, regional and functional teams, and vendor partners, ensuring priorities, timelines, and expectations are aligned. Build strong relationships to enable effective collaboration, decision-making, and issue resolution.
- Vendor Engagement: Engage vendor delivery partners to obtain estimates for effort, cost, and timelines, ensuring inputs support prioritisation and delivery planning.
- Resource and Capacity Management: Allocate and sequence work across platform teams to optimise delivery and provide visibility of resource capacity and utilisation.
- Process Optimisation and Continuous Improvement: Define, standardise, and continuously improve PMO processes across demand intake, prioritisation, and delivery coordination. Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to streamline ways of working.
- PMO Standards, Tools and Practices: Define and maintain PMO standards, tools, templates, and practices to support effective portfolio management, reporting, and collaboration. Drive adoption through guidance and coaching, and build commercial acumen across platform teams to support accurate scoping and estimation of effort, cost, and resources.
- Portfolio Reporting: Produce executive-level portfolio reporting aligned to business goals and transformation initiatives. Ensure data accuracy within the portfolio management platform and maintain key attributes to support reporting on demand status, project delivery, and portfolio health.
- PMO Capability Development: Support the evolution of the Global Business Platforms PMO capability aligned to the needs of the broader team, stakeholders, and business. This may include direct responsibility for project management resources across the portfolio in future.
Professional Skills
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience leading a project management office and or project delivery team across digital project management, resource management, operations and/or resource/traffic management or related roles.
- Experience working within a large, multi-layered, global organisation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across all levels of the entire organization
- Strong analytical and digital presentation skills, and the ability to present with confidence in front of senior executives and broader teams
- Demonstrated success working with complex business platform programs of work or similar in the Technology domain.
- Strong business and commercial acumen – significant experience with estimating, business case creation & project financials
- Excellent negotiation skills with executive level stakeholders to lead to shared outcomes.
