Job Description

The Spec Analytics Analyst is a trainee professional role. Requires a good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles upon which the job is based. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Makes evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information. They are expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents. Must be able to exchange information in a concise way as well as be sensitive to audience diversity. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own job.

What’s expected from you?

As an Analyst, we are seeking an experienced analytics candidate who should be able to perform below behaviors in their day-to-day role:  

• Data Manipulation: Incumbents work with large and complex data sets (both internal and external data) to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies
• Familiarity with Tools: Identifies and compiles data sets using a variety of tools (e.g. SQL, Access) to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business to business outcomes
• Statistical mind set – Familiarity in basic statistics, hypothesis testing, segmentation, and predictive modeling.
• Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholders across various functions and regions.  
• Presentation & Visualization: Knowledge of data visualization techniques to design effective presentations
• Teamwork: Effectively contribute and add value to cross functional initiatives. Seek to learn from other areas within the site to improve analytic approaches for the team.
• Compliance: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Analytical Skills : Must Have

• Basic Statistics and Probability
• Good Logical / Analytical / Quantitative /Reasoning

Qualifications:

• Previous related experience preferred
• Have the ability to retrieve and manipulation data
• Working experience in a quantitative field
• Possess analytic ability and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organized, detail oriented, and adaptive to matrix work environment

Education:

• Masters /University degree or equivalent experience
