What are we looking for?
At least High School Diploma or equivalent; science background/continuing education preferred.
Working knowledge of food safety, prior experience in food related manufacturing or GMP environment preferred.
Problem solving skill and systematic thinking.
Communication and influencing skills.
Demonstrated leadership and technical skills adequate as outlined above.
Effective verbal & written communication skills.
Effective analytical, troubleshooting, and computer skills.
Ability to work independently without supervision as well as within a team setting.
Physical requirements: Some pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.) necessary.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Quality tests of all incoming raw materials as specified in reception procedure.
Sampling raw materials from bulk trucks, tankers, pallets big bags, and totes.
Perform various laboratory analysis on raw materials according to control plan.
Perform receiving document procedures (delivery documentations) and sign delivery documents including, if necessary, quality / quantity objections.
Inform Laboratory Manager of quality deviations according to product standards and production procedures.
Accept or decline reception of goods according to reception procedures.
Collaborate with raw material supply coordinator on inbound receiving scheduling priority.
Maintain lab inventory including chemicals, consumables, and testing kits.
Perform area-related equipment first level maintenance.
Detect and report raw material quality issues.
Prepare samples and documentation for external labs.
Responsible for assisting all areas in maintaining high levels of daily cleanliness and adherence to site GMP's.
Promote high quality team environment through effective teamwork and self-management with a positive attitude.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Laboratory Manager.
