Senior Director of ALM Chief of Staff (reporting to ALM GM)
Role Summary
The Senior Director serves as the strategic right hand to the ALM General Manager. This role blends business strategy, organizational execution, operational governance, and cross-functional leadership. The successful candidate will drive clarity, alignment, and execution across the ALM organization, ensuring that strategy, planning, metrics, leadership activities, and cross-segment coordination operate as a unified system.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution Leadership
· Lead the creation and maintenance of ALM strategy, including FY initiatives, key results, and long-term strategic priorities.
· Own ALM business planning across the Segment Business Plan, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) inputs, and multiyear strategic frameworks.
· Ensure alignment between strategy, financial assumptions, product plans, and execution priorities.
· Act as the integrator between ALM strategy and PTC corporate/segment planning cycles, including kickoffs, reviews, and leadership checkpoints.
· Drive follow-through on strategic decisions, ensuring organizational readiness, clear workstreams, and execution discipline.
Chief of Staff to the General Manager
· Operate as the General Manager’s primary partner for prioritization, communication, leadership coordination, and decision preparation.
· Manage leadership meeting cadences, agenda strategy, pre-read quality, and decision-making hygiene.
· Drive cross-functional alignment across Product, R&D, GTM, Services, Finance, and Operations for ALM priorities.
· Prepare executive-level content including OKR narratives, progress updates, risk escalations, town hall storylines, and strategic messaging.
Organizational Governance & Operating Rhythm
· Own the ALM leadership governance model, including planning cadences, initiative reviews, KPI cycles, and strategic checkpoints.
· Maintain transparency and alignment across all ALM initiatives, ensuring consistency in health logic, dependencies, and reporting standards.
· Serve as the primary coordinator for cross-segment product planning and Product Ops alignment to ensure ALM visibility, constraints, and dependencies are represented.
People, Organization, and Operational Health
· Serve as point leader for organizational health, partnering with HR to integrate people insights into leadership decision-making.
· Drive leadership transparency around talent, organizational bottlenecks, and operational risks.
· Facilitate the ALM People & Organizational Health forum and ensure data-driven operational clarity.
Required Qualifications
· 8+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, product strategy, management consulting, or Chief of Staff–style roles.
· Proven experience driving large-scale planning, strategic alignment, or transformation programs.
· Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders.
· Deep analytical skills and comfort with financial modeling, KPIs, and operational health metrics.
· Exceptional communication, narrative building, and leadership facilitation skills.
· Experience working in cross-functional environments across engineering, product, services, and GTM.
