Adult Social Worker - Contact & Assessment

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an Adult Social Worker to join its client’s Contact & Assessment team, based in Cardiff.

What will your responsibilities be?

• Assist individuals to resolve major difficulties in their lives and enhance their independence and coping skills
• Work within current legislation and Council policies, procedures, and practices
• Assess, commission, and review services, including planned interventions, for a specific client group
• Operate within statutory guidance and policy/procedural frameworks to help protect individuals who are at risk or vulnerable

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have:

• Professional Qualification: MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW
• Registration: Must be registered with Social Care Wales
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ post‑qualified experience in a statutory setting
• Legislation Knowledge: Strong understanding of:

  • Mental Health Act 1983
  • Mental Capacity Act 2005
  • Social Services and Well‑being (Wales) Act 2014
  • Safeguarding procedures
  • Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010

  Skills: Excellent assessment, communication, and risk‑management skills; ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced multidisciplinary environment
• Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (often required for community visits)
