As a Data Scientist under Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) Department, you will be primarily responsible for driving automation initiatives within the Manufacturing Science & Technology team by managing system changes, enhancements, and validations while ensuring compliance with project documentation and SOPs. Supports SMART manufacturing projects through data analysis, reporting tool administration, and system support to enable efficient, data-driven operations.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Manage system change and related enhancement/bug fix, review project documentation and related SOPs and perform system validation
- Analyzes data to generate insights and predictions
- Maintain, support and administrate reporting tool and related applications.
- Lead and support SMART Manufacturing/Automation initiatives related projects. Develop/review project documentations and related SOPs.
- Perform system/software validation
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor degree of related fields (computer science or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 - 5 years relevant working experience in IT software development lifecycle, system implementation and system maintenance and supports.
- Hands on knowledge on automation engineering, PLC/SCADA/MES systems, Microsoft SQL/Oracle/Access database/Python/R/Microsoft Visual Basic/C#/ASP.net programming and IT (Infrastructure and Network).
- Knowledge on 21 CFR Part 11 (computerized system validation) is preferred
