About the role
As the Technical Lead for Learning Development and Coordination, you are the primary engine of our educational mission. Reporting to the Associate Director of Customer Learning and Development, you serve as the Lead Builder and technical driver of our digital learning ecosystem.
This role is centered on high-impact execution. You bridge the gap between instructional concepts and functional reality by leading the hands-on construction of complex online courses, managing a high-volume development backlog, and directing a team of learning developers.
You will work in lockstep with our Learning Experience Design Manager to translate vision into high-performing assets. While the Learning Experience Design Manager defines the purpose, direction, and content of the learner journey, you own the technical execution. This partnership ensures that every digital interaction is technically sound and delivered with precision to our global customers.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Course Building & Technical Ownership
Act as the primary technical builder for high-priority online courses, transforming design skeletons into sophisticated, interactive, and product-focused learning experiences.
Alongside the Learning Experience Design Manager, you will be a functional expert for our Learning Management System (LMS), contributing to system configuration, user experience flow, and the technical deployment of all content.
Partner closely with the LXD Manager to ensure that instructional strategies are technically feasible and that the final digital output maintains the integrity of the original pedagogical vision.
Establish and enforce technical standards for all digital assets, ensuring that simulations, interactive elements, and assessments function flawlessly across our platforms.
Pipeline & Team Management
Own the development roadmap; you will triage build requests, prioritize the developer backlog, and ensure the production team hits every milestone with precision.
Manage and mentor a team of learning developers, providing technical coaching, conducting "build reviews," and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the production cycle, implementing Agile-based workflows to increase the team's output velocity without sacrificing quality.
Lead the effort to keep our technical course library up to date as our robotics hardware and software evolve, ensuring no content becomes obsolete.
Requirements
Proven track record as a Senior Learning Developer or Technical Lead, specifically within a hardware or software-driven technical environment.
Expert-level proficiency in eLearning authoring suites (Articulate 360 - Rise and Storyline) with a portfolio showcasing interactive course projects.
Experience configuring and maintaining enterprise-grade LMS platforms (e.g., Docebo), including user roles, permissions, and integration logic.
Demonstrated experience managing a team of developers, maintaining a production backlog, and leading project lifecycles.
The ability to communicate complex technical matters to various audiences, ensuring clarity for both internal developers and external learners.
Nice-to-haves
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to extend the capabilities of standard authoring tools.
Experience using Jira or similar tools to manage development sprints and team capacity.
Experience architecting learning programs designed for global scale and multi-language support.
The pay range for this position is between $116,479 to $160,158.88 annually.
