As a Technician 5 in Test Engineering for Product development, he/she will play a key role supporting engineers in the development, validation and release of ADI semiconductor products. His/her hands-on expertise in test hardware, equipment, and troubleshooting will help ensure product quality, reliability, and timely project execution.
 

Responsible for the setup, conversion, calibration, repair, preventive, and predictive maintenance of automated test handlers used for Final Test, Wafer sort and Tape and Reel manufacturing processes. These include automated test handlers’ sub-assemblies and related components or parts.
 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate and monitor automated or manual test equipment for testing semiconductor devices, following detailed instructions and engineering procedures.
  • Support engineers on their device evaluation, characterization, customer samples and qualification on the ATE or bench set-ups. Include reject verification, address set-up issues and accurately record/report test results.
  • Support debugging of test hardware; assist in test solution bring-up, and release to manufacturing.
  • Manage inventory of lab tools in engineering needs in the laboratory and in engineering systems
  • Provide logistic support in engineering needs in the laboratory and in engineering systems.
  • contribute to continuous improvement of test process, safety and work practices.

Key Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Electronics Technology, Industrial Technology, Computer Technology, Electrical Technology or equivalent
  • At least 6 years of experience in test engineering, electronics lab work or a similar technical role
  • Able to compile, assimilate, and organize printed and electronic information
  • Presents ideas clearly and effectively in written and oral form
  • Able to work independently when given detailed guidance
  • Willing to work on a shifting schedule
  • Knowledgeable on using simulation tools for early development
  • Total understanding of test systems, hardware and software development
  • Ability to write and present technical papers
  • Provides feedback and development for team members
