At KONE, we help people move smoothly and safely through urban environments. We’re now looking for a hands-on Elevator Field / Service Technician to join our team in Romania. This is a practical, field-based role where you’ll test and commission elevators, ensuring they meet the highest safety and performance standards.

What You’ll Do:

• Test and commission elevators on-site to ensure full compliance with safety, technical, and regulatory requirements

• Work closely with installation teams and site personnel to confirm elevator readiness

• Conduct electrical safety checks and mechanical tests as per EN81, Lift Directive, and other local standards

• Record and report all measurements and findings, highlighting any issues for corrective actions

• Perform final inspections and provide snagging lists to support handover and quality closure

• Ensure safety for all site personnel and the public during testing and commissioning work

• Take part in discussions and reviews to continuously improve processes and standards

What We’re Looking For:

• A hands-on, practical mindset with strong technical skills

• High attention to detail and safety-focused working style

• Ability to collaborate with various on-site roles, such as Installation Supervisors and Project Managers

• Basic computer literacy for documentation and reporting tasks

• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time within Romania

• Previous experience in elevator testing, commissioning, or installation is a plus. Full training is provided
