Join the Global Operations organization, Observability global team and support telemetry, monitoring, logging across our technology landscape.
Role Responsibilities -
As a Lead, Observability Engineer you’ll play a meaningful role in building, scaling, and embedding enterprise‑grade observability across our technology landscape, enabling reliable, secure, and high‑performing services.
Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, India, you will also have an equal opportunity to work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.
We own and continuously evolve our observability platform across logs, metrics, traces, APM, RUM, monitoring, and security use cases.
We define and implement reusable observability standards for dashboards, alerting, and logging across engineering and business domains.
Embed observability into cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring telemetry quality and automation by develop.
We partner with engineering, SRE, security, and operations teams to improve incident detection, service reliability, and time to resolution!
We help enable self‑service observability through documentation, dashboards, reporting, and executive‑level transparency!
We expect you to have:
- Minimum of 12 years working in IT field as system administrator or DevOps field.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Datadog across logs, metrics, APM, dashboards, and monitors.
- Solid understanding of observability principles, including telemetry types, SLOs, distributed tracing, and reliability metrics.
- Proficiency in Python for automation, instrumentation, and integrations.
- Practical experience with AWS and Azure monitoring services and their integration into observability platforms.
- Experience with DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform preferred).
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or I.T.
It would be great if you
Experience operating observability platforms at scale in complex or high‑volume environments.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and container‑based observability patterns.
Familiarity with instrumenting OpenTelemetry.
Background in SRE, production operations, or performance engineering.
