We’re inspired to work with healthcare leaders on our founding vision and unlock world-class medicine through world-class operations. #LI-JB1
About the Role
We’re looking for a dynamic, results-oriented Manager, Performance Insights to spearhead the seamless delivery of our Analytics suite deployments within the healthcare sector. Join our dedicated team, where we leverage cutting-edge technology and innovative strategies to enhance operational efficiencies across hospitals and surgical clinics, directly contributing to Qventus’s mission of improving healthcare operations.
You will take on a multifaceted role that merges the intricacies of engagement management, project and team leadership, analytics, and technical oversight. You’ll build strong relationships with key stakeholders in hospitals and surgical clinics — including senior OR leadership, surgeons, schedulers, and IT teams — serving as a bridge between our customers and internal teams.
Your responsibilities will encompass the full scope of requirements gathering, from understanding specific data needs to defining key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OR utilization, staffing efficiency, and patient throughput. You’ll translate business needs into technical solutions, guiding the successful integration of the Periop Analytics Suite.
As part of the Performance Insights team, you’ll manage a team of performance insights analysts who support various aspects of the organization with data, dashboard, and insight needs. Growing this team to perform more efficiently and effectively — and building their ability to translate data into real decisions — will be a core focus of your role. This is a player-coach position: you’ll lead while remaining hands-on.
A key part of your role will involve training and user adoption, guiding end users on effectively leveraging the analytics suite for decision-making and tailoring support materials to various departments. You’ll continuously collaborate with product, engineering, and clinical teams to ensure the analytics suite aligns with broader company goals and healthcare trends, presenting data-driven insights to leadership for strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Management
- Engage with stakeholders (e.g., clinicians, administrators, executives) to understand their specific data needs and reporting requirements — acting as a trusted advisor who guides them from question to insight to action
- Align KPIs and metrics relevant to perioperative processes, such as OR utilization, patient throughput, and staffing utilization with external stakeholders to drive adoption of analytics
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements for the analytics suite
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Communication
- Manage a team of performance insights analysts, identifying growth and development opportunities to improve overall individual and team performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and clinical teams to ensure the analytics suite aligns with broader company goals
- Communicate insights to leadership and provide recommendations for business and clinical improvements based on data trends
Platform Development & Analytics Tools
- Select and implement analytics tools and technologies, such as dashboards and standard reporting solutions
- Validate visualizations and dashboards that provide actionable insights to users (surgeons, periop managers, etc.)
- Shape the evolution of the analytics suite by defining requirements and prioritizing features with product and engineering
Data Analysis & Insights
- Perform data analysis and modeling to provide insights on perioperative efficiency, cost optimization, and clinical outcomes
- Ensure insights are actionable — not just descriptive — with a clear line to decisions and measurable behavior change
- Present findings in a clear, actionable format that aligns with organizational goals, such as improving patient throughput or optimizing resource allocation
User Training & Adoption
- Train end users on how to interact with and utilize the analytics suite for decision-making
- Develop documentation and support materials tailored to ensure effective use across various departments
- Address resistance and drive real adoption — not just access
Iterative Improvement & Scaling
- Continuously improve the analytics suite by incorporating user feedback and new data sources
- Ensure the platform scales with the business, both in data volume and analytical complexity
What We’re Looking For
- Skilled at understanding, documenting, and analyzing data using a variety of tools (data validation dashboards, SQL/Java, complex Excel functions, Looker, etc.)
- Knowledge of perioperative metrics, processes, challenges, and solutions; ability to engage in strategic and operational discussions with hospital leaders and surgeons
- 5+ years of professional experience implementing and supporting performance insights used by internal and external stakeholders
- 5+ years of professional experience at a top healthcare consulting firm, digital health company, or health system — OR an advanced degree in an analytics-related field with 3+ years of related experience
- At least 3 years of project/program management experience with functional understanding of the business requirements and technical capabilities needed for enterprise-wide SaaS implementation in a provider setting
- At least 3 years of people management experience with a track record of developing talent
- At least 5 years of cross-functional experience managing end-to-end project lifecycles with internal and external stakeholders
- A strong track record of applying quantitative and analytical skills — including experience translating ambiguous business problems into structured analyses and clear recommendations
- Preferred: experience with EHR data (e.g., Epic, Cerner), SaaS analytics platforms, or influencing product/analytics roadmap decisions
- Ability to travel within the United States as needed (not expected to exceed 15%)
