Job Description
We are looking for a friendly, upbeat, and reliable Cashier/Milkologist to join our team. The Cashier is the first and last point of contact for our guests, providing great service with a positive attitude. This role includes taking customer orders, handling payments, and ensuring the dining area stays clean and welcoming. What is a Milkologist you ask? Well, you will also be creating and making delectable milkshakes and soft serve ice cream for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Order Taking
Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming experience
Take food and ice cream orders accurately (in person and/or via phone or POS system)
Answer menu questions and offer recommendations
Cash Handling & POS Operations
Process payments, handle cash, credit, and digital transactions
Issue receipts and ensure accurate change is given
Follow proper cash drawer and register procedures
Restaurant Support
Ensure the front counter, dining area, and beverage/condiment stations remain clean & stocked
Work with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery
Assist with packaging take-out or delivery orders
Team & Safety Standards
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines
Support team members as needed during busy shifts
Maintain a positive and professional attitude with customers and coworkers
Qualifications
Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred, but not required
Basic math skills and comfort using a POS system
Strong communication skills and a friendly personality
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Schedule & Work Conditions
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to stand for extended periods
May require occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
