Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, upbeat, and reliable Cashier/Milkologist to join our team. The Cashier is the first and last point of contact for our guests, providing great service with a positive attitude. This role includes taking customer orders, handling payments, and ensuring the dining area stays clean and welcoming. What is a Milkologist you ask? Well, you will also be creating and making delectable milkshakes and soft serve ice cream for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Order Taking

  • Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming experience

  • Take food and ice cream orders accurately (in person and/or via phone or POS system)

  • Answer menu questions and offer recommendations

Cash Handling & POS Operations

  • Process payments, handle cash, credit, and digital transactions

  • Issue receipts and ensure accurate change is given

  • Follow proper cash drawer and register procedures

Restaurant Support

  • Ensure the front counter, dining area, and beverage/condiment stations remain clean & stocked

  • Work with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery

  • Assist with packaging take-out or delivery orders

Team & Safety Standards

  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines

  • Support team members as needed during busy shifts

  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude with customers and coworkers

Qualifications

  • Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred, but not required

  • Basic math skills and comfort using a POS system

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly personality

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Schedule & Work Conditions

  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • May require occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
