Job Description
As an important member of the Global Procurement team, your negotiation and ability to work in inter-functional teams and a matrix organization are the keys to the success on this position. This role will limit its scope to PPG procurement requirements in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Annual purchases managed by this position typically range from $50MM to $120MM depending on the portfolio.
You will report into the Global Category Manager for Packaging.
Location: Wrocław, Curie-Skłodowskiej 12
Work model: Hybrid (work from home 3 days per week)
Key Responsibilities
- You will develop strategic sourcing for your category in accordance with the approved strategy and objectives defined by the Global Category Manager.
- You will develop market intelligence and a deep knowledge of the local and global business environment to identify risks and opportunities.
- You will use your market insight, adapt your tactical action plans to mitigate identified risks and maximise opportunities and value for PPG in your region.
- You will establish accurate forecasts of market movements and be able to explain fluctuation in forecasts with stakeholders.
- You will accelerate the pace of cost savings and innovation for the category through connecting with both internal stakeholders and suppliers within your region.
- You will deliver the targeted regional value capture savings for the category managed.
- You will achieve target working capital goals including consignment and payment terms.
- You will build strong relationships with key suppliers and business stakeholders within the EMEA region.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Procurement
- Negotiations
- Strategic vision (Act with long-term perspective)
- Project management (Plan and organize)
- Data analysis / good level with IT and e-tools (Size up situations)
- Change Management
- Knowledge and ability to assess chemical market (Understand market and customer perspective).
- Responsiveness to and understanding of internal customer needs (Understand market and customer perspective).
