In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, leadership and governance to a range of activities related to the Baker Hughes Control System install base within the Services APACI Region
 

As a Subsea Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing advanced control systems for power system control, protection, and monitoring applications, ensuring high reliability, safety, and performance.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and validating detailed technical specifications for control system projects, ensuring compliance with project scope, standards, and customer requirements. Ensure deliverables meet Customer technical specifications, regional Technical Regulations and Standards.
  • Developing thorough  test plans and verification procedures, ensuring all functional and safety requirements are met prior to customer engagement.
  • Leading all applicable Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements
  • Develop and execute scopes in line with customer and project requirements and priorities
  • Define Cost Time Resource (CTR) requirements for engineering planning and forecasting purposes. Proactively drive engineering and team activities to ensure “on time” delivery to the customer
  • Disposition, review and approve product clarifications, procedures and technical reports.
  • Provide technical engineering support and leadership during business and non-business hours, including rota based 24-7 engineering on-call.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have at least Bachelor's in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Controls Engineering, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant experience.
  • Have a minimum 5 yr and above of engineering experience ideally within the Oil & Gas industry or related service organisation.
  • Have field experience in subsea installations, troubleshooting and interventions
  • Require Service based Customer First mindset and good understanding of risk analysis and hazard mitigation
  • Sound knowledge of environmental, health and safety, and quality regulations within the oil and gas industry.
  • Have good communication skills, with an ability to communicate well in a multi-lingual/multi-cultural team environment
