Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Director – Architecture & Data Platforms to lead the architecture and design of our core product platforms and enterprise data platforms. This is a hands-on senior architect role, responsible for setting technical direction, driving platform strategy, and ensuring the delivery of scalable, resilient, and future-ready systems.

The role sits at the intersection of product engineering, data platforms, and AI, working closely with Data Science and AI teams to enable advanced analytics, GenAI, and agentic systems. The ideal candidate combines deep architectural experience with strong cloud engineering skills and the ability to rapidly learn and adapt to emerging paradigms.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture Leadership & Strategy

Own the end-to-end architecture and design of core product platforms and data platforms
Define and evolve the platform and data architecture strategy aligned with business and product goals

Hands-On Technical Leadership

Act as a hands-on architect, deeply involved in system design, critical reviews, and complex problem-solving
Guide engineering teams on scalable system design, data modeling, integration patterns, and platform resilience
Make pragmatic trade-offs between speed, scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability

Platform & Data Architecture

Design and evolve scalable, resilient, and high-performance data platforms
Ensure platforms support analytics, AI/ML workloads, and real-time use cases
Drive best practices around data reliability, observability, security, and governance

Cloud & Engineering Excellence

Lead architecture decisions across cloud-native and distributed systems
Promote modern engineering practices including automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
Ensure platforms are cost-efficient, highly available, and operationally sound

Agentic & AI Enablement

Drive and shape the agentic architecture and strategy, with hands-on experience over the last 6–8 months
Partner closely with Data Science and AI teams to enable LLM-based systems, agents, and AI workflows
Ensure architectural patterns support experimentation while remaining production-grade

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and AI leaders
Translate business and product requirements into robust architectural designs
Communicate architectural decisions clearly to both technical and executive stakeholders

Required Qualifications

Experience

18+ years of overall experience in software engineering, architecture, or platform engineering
Proven experience as a senior hands-on architect for large-scale product and data platforms
Demonstrated ownership of architecture for mission-critical, high-scale systems
