Job Summary

This internship provides a structured learning opportunity to understand how manufacturing performance is analysed and enhanced across wafer fabrication, assembly, and test operations.

Through project-based work, the intern will explore industrial engineering concepts and data-driven approaches used to evaluate manufacturing performance indicators such as output, cycle time, cost, and efficiency. The role emphasises learning how improvement opportunities are identified and assessed within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Project Description

This project will focus on analysing manufacturing data and operational workflows to identify areas for potential improvement in production efficiency and consistency.

The intern will also study manufacturing processes across wafer fabrication, assembly, and test operations, and explore data-driven methods to evaluate performance trends. The project includes learning how industrial engineering principles and digital tools are applied to enhance operational effectiveness and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Objective of the Project

To develop an understanding of manufacturing performance metrics and apply structured analysis methods to identify improvement opportunities in efficiency, cycle time, and output.

Project Scope

  • Study manufacturing workflows and key performance indicators across production environments
  • Analyse datasets related to output, cycle time, and operational efficiency
  • Explore industrial engineering concepts such as line balancing, production flow, and scheduling principles
  • Apply basic data analysis techniques to identify trends, variations, and potential improvement areas

Course of Interests

The ideal candidate should be currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
