About the role
As a Business Development Representative reporting to the Head of Global Business Development, you'll play a critical role in generating qualified pipeline and driving new business growth across Nasdaq's Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI) portfolio — including NMS and Eqlipse (Market Surveillance) — engaging banks, capital markets firms, asset managers, insurance companies, and treasury organisations across the EMEA.
You'll thrive in this position if you're commercially curious, data-driven, and passionate about financial technology, and you bring a proactive approach to enterprise prospecting in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Own pipeline creation targets across the assigned territory, contributing directly to regional and global growth objectives.
• Develop and execute account-based prospecting strategies to identify key stakeholders, business initiatives, and technology transformation opportunities within target financial institutions.
• Generate qualified opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound lead qualification, event follow-up, and collaboration with Marketing and Partner teams.
• Leverage AI-powered sales tools and data platforms to improve account prioritisation, prospect research, and outreach personalisation.
• Partner with Account Executives, Marketing, and Solution Consultants to execute coordinated account plans and drive pipeline progression.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in business development, sales development, or enterprise pipeline generation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders within financial institutions.
• Proven ability to research, qualify, and develop opportunities within complex enterprise organisations.
• Proficiency in CRM and sales engagement platforms such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar tools.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in financial technology, capital markets, treasury, risk management, or enterprise SaaS.
• Familiarity with account-based marketing or selling strategies, and intelligence platforms such as 6sense or Cognism.
• Experience leveraging generative AI and automation tools to improve research, personalisation, and prospect engagement.
This position will be located in London and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
