Junior Power BI Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytically driven Junior Power BI Developer to join the Operations team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that provide visibility into daily operations. You will partner with operations managers and cross-functional teams to turn data into actionable insights that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone starting their career in Business Intelligence and data analytics.

 

What you will do

In this role, you will:

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports focused on operational KPIs such as throughput, cycle time, on-time delivery, capacity utilization, and SLA compliance
• Connect, clean, and transform data from systems like ERP, WMS, CRM, and other transactional sources using Power Query and DAX
• Develop and optimize data models that reflect real operational workflows and business processes
• Collaborate with operations stakeholders to gather requirements, define metrics, and ensure reports solve real business needs
• Monitor data quality, identify inconsistencies, and work with data teams to resolve issues
• Manage report publishing and automated refreshes in Power BI Service to ensure timely and reliable data delivery
• Support ad hoc analysis requests and provide data-driven recommendations for process improvements
• Document data sources, transformation logic, and reporting structures for maintainability
• Assist in enabling self-service BI by training users on dashboards and Power BI basics
• Stay up to date with Power BI features, best practices, and BI trends

 

What you will bring

The top candidate will have the following skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, Operations, or a related field
• Foundational experience with Power BI Desktop including data modeling, DAX, and Power Query
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Understanding of operational concepts such as supply chain, logistics, production, or service delivery
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Clear communication skills with the ability to explain data insights in business terms
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

 

Ideally you have…

• Experience with Power BI Service including workspaces, security, and scheduled refreshes
• Exposure to ERP or warehouse management systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
