Holman Upfitting has a great opportunity for a 2nd Shift Laser Operator to join our team in Huntington IN!

  • Starting pay: $20 per hour + 2nd shift 10% premium
  • Shift: 2pm- 12:30am (2nd shift) 
  • Four 10-hour days with a 3-day weekend

The Laser Machine Operator produces parts to specifications in an efficient and timely manner.

What will you do?

  • Ensure proper nesting of parts for optimized output and reduced scrap.
  • Inspect sheet metal for quality prior to beginning cutting operation.
  • Inspect parts to ensure quality of laser cuts.
  • Count and stack parts for next operation.
  • Comply with all required safety protocols.
  • Daily inspection and routine maintenance of equipment.
  • Dispose of scraps in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize parts by type and size.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as tape measure, calipers and/or material thickness gauges is strongly desired.
  • Some experience with reading CAD drawings is a plus.
  • Past experience reading plans, blueprints, drawings, and models is a plus.
  • Must be detail orientated.
  • Must be able to read and understand equipment operating instructions
  • Must pass a physical, drug test, and criminal background check prior to employment.

Regular Full-Time

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $20.00 - $25.25 USD per hour.
