About the role

Responsibilities:
- Independent processing of one or more development projects
- Analysis of existing processes and materials
- Planning and execution of laboratory tests in the chemical field
- Preparation of new formulations for anti-friction coatings and application of these via spray or dip-spin application on metal or polymer substrates
- Characterization and evaluation of pretreated/coated surfaces using various methods such as tribology measurements, corrosion tests or surface tension measurements
- Detailed documentation of results
- Close cooperation with production and application engineering
- Transfer of the new processes to pilot plant scale
Qualifications:
- Studies in chemical engineering, process engineering, chemistry, materials science or related fields
- Interest in topics related to surface technology, tribology and wear resistance
- Good computer skills (MS-Office)
- Independent working style and good analytical skills
- Commitment, initiative, ability to work in a team, creativity and enjoyment of practical work
- The internship/thesis should be a mandatory part of your studies and last at least 5 months.
