Time Type: Full timeWorker Type: EmployeeThe purpose of this role is to provide a high-quality People business partnering service to a function / business unit within a Division / Region, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering on strategic people-related activities such as workforce planning, talent management, and change leadership. This involves strong partnering with executives and senior leaders to develop and embed a successful people strategy in line with the group People strategy & QBE strategy. Additionally,this role is responsible for influencing, advising, and leading on People service delivery and People initiatives whilst ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The role also includes ensuring the effective application of the People operating model and brokering technical expertise through the broader People team.Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the business unit people strategy which will contribute to and help drive the overall People strategy & QBE strategy.
- Drive and support the alignment and delivery of all People-related processes, policies, and procedures with best practices.
- Build strong and trusted relationships with Executives and business leaders to understand key priorities and challenges.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to ensure cost-efficient, effective, and compliant People services.
- Identify and communicate potential people issues and opportunities to influence appropriate action.
- Collaborate with COE’s to develop people solutions.
- Manage complaints and investigations to address issues promptly and effectively.
- Drive and shape change through organizational design and strategic workforce planning.
- Utilise people data and analytics to drive decision making and inform action with regard to people initiatives.
- Be an active member of the business unit/ function's leadership team.
Work Experience:
Necessary Work Experience includes:
- Some relevant work experience.
Preferred Work Experience includes:
- Experience as a People generalist in the financial/insurance sector.
- Experience managing a team in a BPO setting.
- Significant Human Resources experience.
- Experience in strategic People business partnerships at a senior/executive level.
- Leadership experience.
- Exposure to complex multinational business in a financial services environment.
Qualifications:
Necessary Qualifications include:
- Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications include:
- Postgraduate Degree.
