Seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 1 year’s working experience in an acute care pediatric children’s hospital setting. The ideal candidate will join a team of MDs, RNs, PTs, SLPs, TR, and SW with a strong interdisciplinary approach to treat a caseload of predominantly inpatient care for post-op, orthopedic, neurologic, ICU, oncologic and medicine patients. In this role, the Occupational Therapist will evaluate, plan, and provide treatment programs for patients, and deliver skilled intervention using a variety of techniques appropriate for achieving the identified goals. You'll have the opportunity to work in pediatric acute care. Work with a dynamic, experienced staff, caring for a diverse population.
The shift for this per diem position is 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. The appropriate candidate will have the flexibility to work weekdays and some weekends/holidays.
Preferred:
Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Certification.
AOTA Membership.
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
New York State Occupational Therapy License.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Minimum of one year of hospital-based pediatric acute care experience as a practicing Occupational Therapist.
Demonstrates competency in clinical skills consistent with the level of education, training, and experience.
