About the role

About Donorbox

Donorbox is a leading fundraising platform and donor management system for nonprofit organizations. Our mission is to accelerate positive impact worldwide by helping nonprofits become highly effective at raising funds and managing their supporter base. Since 2014, we have powered more than 100,000 global organizations to raise over $3B in donations.

Our fast-growing company is profitable and bootstrapped with a healthy run rate. We have a fully distributed and diverse 150-person team based in 16+ states and 23+ countries. In 2026, Donorbox was named by Built In as one of the Best Places to Work in Washington, DC.

Donorbox is rated the #1 software for fundraising, donor management, and nonprofit payment on G2 based on hundreds of verified customer reviews — a reflection of the care our team puts into building products that nonprofits trust.

The Role

Donorbox is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Event Marketing Manager to join our Growth & Marketing team. This high-impact role will manage Donorbox’s in-person event participation, helping deepen relationships within the nonprofit community and deliver a seamless attendee and staff experience.

This role owns logistics and execution across a growing portfolio of 20+ industry conferences, sponsored events, networking and community gatherings, and internal company events (offsites, team meetings & gatherings) annually. These events bring together the global nonprofit and social impact community, with a primary focus on the United States, followed by Canada and Europe.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing complex conference and event operations from start to finish, and can confidently own multiple workstreams simultaneously with minimal oversight. This role will also own the event budgeting process, including budget creation, expense tracking, vendor spend management, and post-event reconciliation/reporting. The Event Marketing Manager will share creative ideas for strategically engaging audiences to make a lasting impression. Building brand awareness is a core objective for this role, but as a B2B SaaS platform, it is equally essential to drive measurable results through lead generation, customer acquisition, and account renewals.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end logistics coordination for in-person events, including industry conferences, sponsored events, networking and community events, Donorbox-hosted events, and internal company events
  • Manage exhibitor registrations, sponsorship deliverables, vendor timelines, event deadlines, and conference logistics for domestic and international events
  • Coordinate freight shipping, drayage, advance warehouse receiving, bill of lading documentation, booth installation and dismantle logistics, and on-site issue resolution
  • Manage event vendors and conference services including I&D vendors, exhibitor-appointed contractors (EACs), AV, internet, furnishings, and show services
  • Track and manage event inventory (booth assets, signage, literature, swag) and print production to ensure accurate shipment, storage, reuse, and replenishment
  • Create logistics documents, shipping trackers, event timelines, budgets, and staff preparation materials
  • Empower staff to show up fully prepared by leading pre-event prep sessions with key info and facilitating travel & accommodations
  • Track and maintain event budgets from initial forecasting to actuals reporting, working closely with Finance and Executive team
  • Partner with Creative to request, produce, and submit sponsor assets, including print collateral, digital ads, swag, booth branding, and more
  • Drive brand awareness and customer acquisition for Donorbox through strategic participation in events
  • Understand our fundraising software, target audience, and ICPs to make informed decisions on which events to get involved in, how to connect with attendees, competitive landscape & prospecting opportunities, and how to position the brand most effectively
  • Come up with creative, data-backed attendee experience and engagement concepts, sponsorship opportunity recommendations, and brand representation ideas that attract visitors, spark conversations, and keep Donorbox top of mind post-event
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, Partnerships, Sales, and Operations teams to support event goals and company initiatives
  • Report on post-event ROI, results, and insights using surveys, dashboards, and CRM data, partnering with RevOps, Accounting, and Data teams as needed
  • Develop and improve event SOPs, systems, and operational processes to support a growing event program and growing team

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in event coordination, conference & tradeshow operations, field marketing, experiential marketing, or a related role
  • Hands-on experience managing conference logistics, including freight coordination, drayage, exhibitor services, vendor management, shipping timelines, and on-site execution
  • Strong understanding of conference operations and event production workflows
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects and event timelines simultaneously
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable troubleshooting operational challenges in fast-paced environments
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable with using project management, CRM, and data analysis tools to plan and measure results
  • Experience supporting event marketing initiatives, sponsorships, hosted events, and event reporting is strongly preferred
  • Experience in the tech industry (B2B SaaS in particular) or nonprofit industry is a plus
