Overview
Operates Community-owned vehicles to provide authorized transportation for residents and partners. This position exists in order to enhance the lives and nurture the growth of older persons by providing high quality service in a cheerful, timely manner and by communicating, coordinating, and cooperating with others to attain goals.

Shift: 6a-3p (shifts and hours will vary)
Responsibilities
- Operates small and medium size cars, passenger vans, cargo vehicles to transport passengers, material or supplies.
- Inspects, services and cleans vehicles.
- Interacts positively with residents, family members, visitors, and other partners under a variety of conditions and circumstances.
- Pumps gasoline and diesel fuel, checks oil, water and other fluid levels, provides routine under the hood service inspections.
- Performs routine clean-up operations in the service area and transportation building shop areas, such as sweeping and washing floors.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Licensure/Certification: Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
- Experience: Three years of car or small van driving or equivalent vehicle experience required.
- Skills: Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle required. Ability to do pre-trip inspection of vehicle. Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with residents and other partners required. Ability to find locations using standard road maps as well as written and verbal directions
