Job Description:
- Coordinates activities and functions of the Arizona Human Trafficking Hotline to ensure that goals and objectives specified for the program are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications.
- Works with Project Coordinator to maintain and monitor Hotline 24/7. Works closely and collaboratively with stakeholders to plan, direct, organize, and execute against project requirements; identifies and acquires necessary resources and coordinates efforts by all parties to ensure timely delivery of project outcomes in accordance with sponsoring source's expectations.
Essential Duties:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the 24-hour hotline, ensuring smooth functioning and prompt response to incoming calls.
- Monitor hotline activities, including call volumes, trends, and patterns, and provide regular reports to management.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement efficient call handling procedures and protocols.
- Assist Project Coordinator to train and supervise hotline staff and volunteers, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
- Interacts and maintains liaison with clients and stakeholders and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives.
- Will answer AZ Human Trafficking Hotline calls when supervisees are not available and will have on-call responsibilities regularly
- Provide empathetic and trauma-informed support to callers, including victims, survivors, and concerned individuals seeking assistance.
- Assess the immediate needs of callers and connect them to appropriate resources, including shelters, counseling services, legal aid, and law enforcement agencies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of hotline interactions and referrals, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy laws.
- Assist the Project Coordinator to evaluate program effectiveness to develop improved methods; devises evaluation methodology and implements; analyzes results and recommends and/or takes appropriate action. Reviews applications or other program documents independently or in conjunction with supervisor to determine acceptance or make decisions pertaining to program.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local organizations, service providers, and community stakeholders involved in anti-trafficking efforts.
- Collaborate with external partners to develop and update a comprehensive resource directory, including relevant services, referrals, and educational materials.
- Conduct regular research to stay informed about local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and resources related to human trafficking.
- Under the guidance of the Project Coordinator, develops, compiles, and writes communications and promotional literature for distribution such as newsletters, brochures or flyers; coordinates process from development through printing and distribution.
- Represent the project at community events, conferences, and meetings, raising awareness about human trafficking and the hotline services.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with survivors of human trafficking
- Experience in outreach services for clients who have experienced homelessness, trafficking, addiction, or mental illness
- Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency (written and verbal) strongly preferred
Working Environment:
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work. Occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds. Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts. Ability to clearly communicate verbally, read, write, see and hear to perform essential functions.
