Job Description
Position Summary
Focus Financial Partners is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Workday Technology Analyst to support and enhance the ongoing administration, optimization, and strategic use of the Workday platform. This role is designed for a seasoned Workday professional who brings strong functional platform expertise and who can operate as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders.
The Senior Workday Technology Analyst plays a critical role as a subject matter expert (SME), leading system enhancements, resolving complex issues, and driving continuous improvement across the platform. This individual will serve as a key liaison between business partners and technical teams, translating requirements into scalable, well-governed Workday solutions in a growing, multi-entity organization.
The preferred location for this role is in St. Louis, MO; the secondary locations would be New York, NY (Manhattan) with occasional presence in New Hyde Park, NY.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior support resource and subject matter expert (SME) for the Workday platform, resolving complex functional, data, and process-related issues across modules
- Lead configuration, enhancement, and testing efforts to support evolving business needs, ensuring solutions are scalable, well-documented, and aligned with platform standards
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective Workday solutions, balancing usability, governance, and long-term maintainability
- Drive semi-annual Workday release activities, including impact analysis, regression testing coordination, documentation updates, and deployment readiness
- Design and support standard and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and analytics to improve insight, decision-making, and operational efficiency
- Ensure system stability and data integrity during critical business cycles by proactively identifying risks and resolving issues
- Collaborate with internal technology teams and external vendors on integrations, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Establish and maintain system documentation, configuration standards, and best practices for consistent platform usage
- Mentor junior analysts and support user adoption through training resources, job aids, and knowledge sharing
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 5+ years of experience supporting, configuring, and enhancing Workday applications in a complex enterprise environment
- Strong understanding of enterprise systems, data flows, and business process enablement
- Demonstratedability to lead platform enhancements and independently manage complex workstreams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred:
- Experience supporting Workday in a multi-entity or decentralized organization
- Familiarity with Adaptive or Evisort
- Experience partnering with external vendors and participating in large-scale system initiatives

This is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $100,000-135,000 Base Salary Compensation Range. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life and 401(k). Please note that the job title is subject to change based on the selected candidate’s experience and education.
