Academic Anatomic Pathologist
Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine
University of Louisville School of Medicine
The Department of Pathology at the University of Louisville continues to grow and expand. We are seeking to hire two full-time academic anatomic pathologists. This position offers some flexibility in scheduling and may be filled at 0.8 to 1.0 FTE. Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and academic achievements.
Candidates should have a strong interest in promoting the academic mission, including maintaining scholarly activities and participating in graduate and undergraduate medical education. Applicants should have fellowship training or a strong and proven interest in one or more of the following practice areas: medical renal, thoracic/lung, gynecologic, head and neck pathology, cytopathology, dermatopathology. Prior work experience in an academic setting is desirable. A track record of educational achievements and publications demonstrating clinical and scientific accomplishments is also desirable.
The successful candidate will be adept at navigating complex healthcare settings and services delivered at multiple locations. The selected candidate will join a team of accomplished and high-energy faculty who embody collaborative teamwork and foster a welcoming, diverse, and inclusive environment. The applicants should be board-certified in anatomic or combined anatomic and clinical pathology and be qualified for an unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Qualifications
- MD, DO, or equivalent
- Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Pathology in Clinical Pathology
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Kentucky
