[What you will be working on] 

GovTech is seeking a talented and innovative Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining cutting-edge software solutions that improve government services and enhance citizens' lives. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test high-quality software applications that meet the evolving needs of our government agencies and the public.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement software applications using various programming languages and frameworks
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices and coding standards
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues in a timely manner
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge within the team
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives

[What we are looking for] 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in software development
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus
• Knowledge of government technology landscape and public sector challenges
