Highlights:

Summary: Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Employee Health Specialist role facilitates centralized scheduling for Employee Health system-wide and assists with throughput and processing of team members at the South location. Performs a variety of tasks and essential duties in the promotion of team member wellness including scheduling, customer service, collaboration with all clinical services staff, and being the electronic medical record point-of-contact. Education / Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required.At least 3 years combined clerical, customer service and office management experience required, with experience in a medical setting preferred. License / Certification: BLS required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Must be able to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Must be able to cope with stressful situations.
• Ability to answer questions from employees, volunteers, students on safety and health issue policies.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Position requires sitting for 50% of the workday and mobility 50% of the workday.
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 15 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 70 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
Much exposure to computer work.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
