About the Role
As a Plastic Pipe and Conduit Product Manager at Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, you will play a pivotal role in managing the entire PVC product portfolio, from development to lifecycle management. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and the ability to drive product innovation while ensuring profitability and market differentiation. You will collaborate with engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams, ensuring that products meet customer needs and align with business goals. This is a hybrid role located in Chicago, IL.

What You’ll Do
• Manages all aspects of the PVC product portfolio, ensuring lifecycle success and profitability.
• Gathers Voice of the Customer (VOC) to develop new products, enhance service, and identify evolving customer needs.
• Develops and implements channel strategies, including market segmentation, volume, and pricing strategies.
• Analyzes vertical markets and works closely with the commercial team to target specific markets for growth.
• Collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure product differentiation and value creation.
• Influences plant production schedules, capabilities, and capacity to align with market demand.
• Manages the order book to maximize profitability, production, and shipments.
• Tracks market share and performs competitive analysis to identify and address market opportunities.
• Develops marketing tools and campaigns to promote new products and expand into new markets.
• Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices in compliance with regulatory agencies and company policy.

Who You Are
• 5+ years of experience in Product Management or Product Marketing, preferably within the PVC pipe market.
• Bachelor of Science degree required, with a preference for a degree in Engineering.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing all areas of Product Management, including marketing, competitive analysis, product roadmaps, and new product development.
• Proficient in analyzing data, creating pricing strategies, and identifying market trends.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt quickly, prioritize effectively, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

Compensation & Benefits
Below is the expected base salary range for this position. This is a good-faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.

Base Salary Range: $120,000—$150,000 USD
Additional compensation may include:
