We are looking for a Senior Lab Engineer/Associate to join our team in Malta.
Key Responsibilities
- Design protocols and interpret results to validate functional test methods
- Organize and perform Test Method Validation (TMV) activities
- Support lab engineers/associates in test method validation and lab-related tasks
- Critically review and interpret test protocols and testing plans to verify product requirements
- Collaborate closely with the Lab Supervisor in lab management and maintenance of procedures
- Perform and document verification and validation tests (NPD & SPO) across business units
- Conduct studies for disposables and container systems, supporting new product development - Identify and implement innovative solutions in test methods and equipment
- Execute procedures accurately and consistently, ensuring repeatability
- Review and document results in lab notebooks and data systems according to procedures
- Ensure compliance with Quality Systems and adhere to GLP/GDP requirements
- Present study results and findings clearly to relevant stakeholders
- Develop TMV protocols in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Maintain strong scientific and engineering knowledge
- Ensure a safe and orderly work environment; identify and mitigate potential hazards
- Train and supervise team members on relevant tasks
- Stay current with testing equipment and methodologies (e.g., tensile testing, measurement, sterilization)
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Strong English communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Ability to statistically analyze test results and prepare validation reports
- Knowledge of engineering principles relevant to assigned tasks
- Ability to compile clear written and graphical reports describing study results
- Degree in Engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, Materials) or related scientific field
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The minimum salary for this position is €27,200.00 annually. Your initial pay could be at the minimum or higher based on skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors, all of which are subject to change. This position may also be eligible for competitive benefits, discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentive.
