PTC is looking for a UI & UX leader for our CAD portfolio to help redefine how the world’s most advanced engineering tools feel, flow, and delight the people who use them every day. In this role, you’ll lead the user experience strategy for Creo, Creo+, and related CAD workflows, shaping how engineers design, simulate, manufacture, and collaborate at scale.

What You’ll Do
Own the UX vision for CAD at PTC
You’ll define and champion a clear, modern UX strategy that balances power and precision with usability and elegance. Your work will directly shape the day‑to‑day experience of professional engineers working on some of the most complex designs in the world.
Lead and inspire a world‑class UX team
You’ll build, mentor, and lead a team of designers and researchers who are motivated by solving deeply technical problems. You’ll set a high bar for craft, curiosity, and customer empathy—while creating an environment where designers can do the best work of their careers.
Partner deeply with Product and Engineering
You’ll work side by side with Product Management and Engineering leaders to ensure UX is embedded in strategy, roadmaps, and technical decisions—not treated as an afterthought. You’ll help teams navigate trade‑offs between performance, capability, and experience.
Design for real engineers, at real scale
You’ll ensure our experiences are grounded in how customers actually work—through direct user research, usability testing, and ongoing engagement with engineers. You’ll help make expert workflows faster, clearer, and more intuitive, while lowering the barrier to entry for new users.
Drive consistency without slowing innovation
You’ll own and evolve the CAD design system, interaction standards, and experience principles—ensuring cohesion across products while still enabling teams to innovate quickly.
Influence at the highest levels
You’ll clearly communicate UX strategy, insights, and outcomes to senior leadership. You’ll represent UX as a strategic driver of customer satisfaction, adoption, and competitive differentiation—internally and externally.
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience
10+ years of experience in UX design, with meaningful leadership responsibility
Proven success leading UX for complex, technical software (CAD, PLM, engineering tools, or similar)
Deep understanding of designing for expert users and performance‑sensitive applications
Strong ability to influence product and engineering partners at senior levels
Nice to Have
Experience with CAD, PLM, simulation, or manufacturing software
Background or strong exposure to engineering, industrial design, or human factors
Experience with desktop applications and hybrid desktop/cloud environments
Interest or experience in AI‑assisted workflows and design automation
