What you will do:

Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback, operates angiographic equipment.

Provides care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Provides patient/family or caregiver education and counseling in recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problems.

Maintains open and positive communication with staff, physicians, and other departments.

Instructs, supervises, and evaluates student technologists.

Presents a positive image to community and professional contacts.

Promotes professionalism with the department, hospital, and community; acts as a role model.

Maintains intra-arterial access as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.

Receives, relays and documents verbal, written and electronic orders in the patient’s medical record.

Qualifications:

Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program is required.
Maintains active registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). ARRT
Vascular Interventional (VI) or Cardiovascular/Interventional (CV) certification preferred.
Maintains current and valid Permit to Practice Radiology Technologist license in the state of
employment.
Previous interventional radiology experience preferred.
Completion of the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Mandatory Reporter training
for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse within three (3) months of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certified within six (6) weeks of hire.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred unless required by local site

Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
