Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provide engineering support under general direction.

2. Assist management and engineering to specify, develop, justify, document, implement and sustain industrial processes, equipment, and materials.

3. Improve efficiency and capacity of processes in accordance with strategic objectives.

4. Investigate and recommend solutions to manufacturing challenges.

5. Develop and/or conduct experiments to identify root cause of problems.

6. Evaluate process capabilities and validate new equipment.

7. Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

8. Understand. Create. Simplify.

9. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
B.S. in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Working knowledge in statistics
Working knowledge in project management tools and disciplines
Ability to train technical and non-technical staff
Effective writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications
Two years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment

Proficiency applying the principles of Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and World Class
Ability to lead a cross functional team
Project management experience
