Job Description
The Cloud Engineer will design, engineer, and integrate the cloud environment that forms the foundation of the WDP System. Implement and manage cloud services, optimize the cloud architecture for performance and cost, and ensure the environment is secure, scalable, and highly available. Architect multi-cloud and hybrid cloud solutions to meet specific requirements, implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate cloud resource provisioning, and establish cloud governance policies and guardrails. Design and implement cloud networking solutions including VPCs, subnets, and connectivity to on-premises resources, configure cloud security services and controls to protect cloud resources, and implement cloud monitoring and logging solutions to provide visibility into operations. Optimize cloud resource utilization to control costs, implement auto-scaling solutions to handle variable workloads, and design disaster recovery and business continuity solutions for cloud workloads. Evaluate new cloud services and features for potential adoption, maintain cloud architecture documentation, and provide cloud expertise to other teams.
Must have:
- 8 years of experience in cloud engineering, automation, and security in enterprise environments
- Bachelor’s degree (or 4 additional years of experience) in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Must meet DoD 8140 requirements
Security Clearance:
- Active Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, or TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required, depending on position
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
