About the role
Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr. Data Visualization Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced dashboards and reports that translate complex data into actionable insights. Your work will directly support both operational and business decision-making by presenting data in clear and accessible visual formats. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key to ensuring that real-time data solutions meet both industrial and business intelligence needs.
You Will:
- Design, develop, and maintain visually compelling data visualizations and dashboards using Ignition and Tableau.
- Build real-time dashboards in Ignition, integrating with PLCs and SCADA systems for operational monitoring.
- Create interactive, dynamic Tableau dashboards that effectively communicate business insights and analytics.
- Collaborate with MES, data engineers, and stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver impactful visualizations.
- Set up databases and establish reliable data pipelines to support dashboard functionality.
- Ensure data accuracy and scalability for both real-time and historical data analysis solutions.
- Implement UI/UX and data visualization best practices to deliver consistent, user-friendly experiences.
- Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to track and monitor key process metrics for decision-making.
- Write SQL queries and use Python to source data, enhance visualizations, and automate tasks.
- Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, and real-time data streams.
You Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field.
- 5+ years of data visualization experience in manufacturing/industrial environments with strong MES integration knowledge.
- 5+ years of experience building Ignition for real-time dashboards with PLC/SCADA systems and Tableau for advanced interactive visualizations.
- Strong technical skills in Python for automation, SQL for database management and querying, and API/data stream integration.
- Solid understanding of SPC principles and ability to analyze large datasets and translate them into actionable insights.
