THE ROLE

The Head of Project Delivery, US is a Senior Director-level operations leadership role responsible for the end-to-end execution of XYZ's field delivery across the United States. This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership position — not a strategic or product-facing role. You will own the performance, consistency, and scalability of a field team that is the human face of the XYZ product, interacting with construction teams on site every day.
With a team that could scale from ~100 to 300 Field Engineers over the next 18 months, this person must be obsessed with standardisation, productivity, quality, training, and metrics. Think Toyota Production System, F1 race operations, or military special ops — relentless repeatability at scale. Candidates from Manufacturing, Performance Engineering, or Operational Excellence backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage Site Engineers and Regional Leads across the US — setting clear KPIs, conducting performance reviews, driving accountability, and providing escalation support for complex field or client issues.
• Own training and operational readiness — standardising onboarding, maintaining SOPs and field playbooks, identifying performance gaps, and implementing improvement plans to keep the team certified and deployment-ready.
• Enforce execution and reporting discipline — ensuring projects run to operational standards, overseeing accurate internal and client-facing reporting, and proactively escalating risks before they impact delivery.
• Lead resource planning in partnership with Operations and Commercial teams — aligning field capacity to project pipeline and managing utilisation targets as the business scales rapidly.
• Drive continuous operational improvement — identifying inefficiencies in field execution, implementing process improvements, and building visibility and predictability into delivery performance across all sites.
• Act as the delivery interface for key client stakeholders (Project Directors, Construction Directors, VPs) — driving platform adoption, removing barriers, and translating field performance data into measurable client value.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven track record leading large-scale, distributed operational teams of 20+ people across multiple sites — with experience in construction, field services, operations, or program delivery.
• Demonstrated experience building and running KPI-driven performance management systems, including training frameworks, SOPs, and operational playbooks.
• Background in Operational Excellence, Manufacturing, Performance Engineering, or a similarly rigour-driven discipline — experience delivering process and technological change at scale is essential.
• Comfortable with extensive US travel (multiple trips per month, 2 days to 1 week in duration) and able to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
