Job Description:

*This position is available for both Polysomnographic Technicians or Assistants. Please see qualifications for both position below:

The Polysomnographic Tech interacts with patients, families, physicians, staff and equipment to document and treat suspected sleep disorders in a safe and caring environment. Responsible for patient set up, acquisition and starting the polysomnographic acquisition in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with physician orders. Executes scoring of testing parameters according to Department Standards and correctly implements treatment options for sleep apnea. This position demonstrates competency in all sleep test to include: Polysomnography, PAP titrations, Oxygen titrations, MSLT, MWT and HST.

Polysomnographic Technician

Education:
▪ Required: High School Diploma
▪ Preferred: Associates Degree in an allied health related field
Experience:
▪ Preferred: Minimum one year experienced as an RPSGT or RRT
Skills:
▪ Strong clinical decision making
▪ Basic computer skills
▪ Strong communication skills
▪ Ability to work independently
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
▪ Required: RPSGT or SDS OR registered through ABSM, BRPT, or NBRC AND must obtain RPSGT or SDS within 1 year of hire
▪ Preferred: REEGT or RRT

Polysomnographic Assistant

Education:
▪ Required: High School Diploma or equivalent 
Experience:
▪ Required: At least 1 year experience in a healthcare setting
Skills:
▪ Strong clinical decision making
▪ Basic computer skills
▪ Strong communication skills
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
▪ N/A
