Job Title: Sales Application Engineer - Hardware Emulation & Prototyping (Palladium)
Location: Velizy, France
Reports to: Application Engineering Director
Job Overview:
The Sales Application Engineer (AE) for Hardware Emulation and Prototyping is the key technical partner to Cadence customers and account teams, driving technical credibility and demonstrating the value of the Palladium platform throughout the sales process. In this customer-facing role, you will be instrumental in winning complex engagements and expanding strategic accounts by accelerating the adoption of advanced verification solutions and solving complex technical challenges. Working closely with Sales, R&D, and Product Marketing, you will also influence product direction and enable long-term customer success.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide pre-sales technical support for emulation and full verification flows.
- Lead customer evaluations and benchmarks that showcase Cadence differentiation.
- Enable customer adoption through hands-on support and verification methodology expertise.
- Optimize design and verification flows using Cadence technologies.
- Channel customer insights back to R&D and field teams to influence product direction.
- Drive technical sales campaigns and deliver compelling solution demonstrations.
- Deliver training and workshops on verification platforms to build customer capability.
Job Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electronics, Microelectronics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Around 3+ years of experience in digital verification or validation.
- Experience with hardware emulation platforms such as Palladium, Veloce, or ZeBu.
- Exposure to SoC bring-up or hardware/software co-verification.
- Proficiency with Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, and UVM.
- Experience with hardware/software co-verification and testbench methodologies.
- Programming skills in C/C++, SystemC, and Python.
- Strong Unix/Linux skills and scripting ability.
- Fluency in both English and French.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Familiarity with Xcelium, VCS, or Questa simulation environments.
- Knowledge of industry protocols such as AMBA, PCIe, Ethernet, USB, and MIPI.
- Proactive, customer-focused, and autonomous working style.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- A collaborative team player with a willingness to travel.
