Team Overview
The Government Affairs Administrator is a vital part of the Strategic Initiatives Team and will report to and provide administrative and programmatic support to the Sr. Counsel, Government Affairs Director. You will assist the Strategic Initiatives Team to engage those serving in the government and the broader legal community. You will also be responsible for supporting the team’s work, preparing ADF clients and other allies for strategic events and opportunities to advance ADF’s generational wins, and helping Blackstone Fellows and other allies secure strategic government opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with developing and maintaining strong working relationships with state and federal government offices. Track and draft reports on the team’s engagement with these offices.
- Support the planning and execution of different ADF events, including interfacing with attendees and faculty and preparing clients.
- Track government job opportunities and coordinate interviews and other support for Blackstone Fellows and other ADF allies interested in pursuing career opportunities in government offices. \
- Provide administrative support to the Sr. Counsel, Government Affairs Director. This includes coordinating meetings and event registration, booking travel, preparing expense reports, etc.
- Conduct background research and other projects to assist the vetting of candidates for positions in the public sector.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of administrative experience.
- Strong attention to detail and proven project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Travel occasionally as needed.
