Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Market Analyst to join our team in Latin America. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining competitive price comparison analyses between Thermo Fisher and key competitors to support strategic pricing decisions across the organization.

In partnership with Marketing and Commercial teams, this role will develop and maintain a robust base of correlated SKUs between Thermo Fisher and competitors, integrate these data into price monitoring platforms, and generate insights on price positioning, gaps, and opportunities.

This role requires strong data manipulation capabilities, advanced Excel automation skills, and the ability to translate complex analyses into clear executive presentations that support pricing architecture decisions and business leadership discussions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain correlated SKU mapping between Thermo Fisher and competitor portfolios in collaboration with Marketing and Commercial teams.
  • Collect, validate, and organize internal and external pricing data, ensuring consistency and quality for ongoing competitive price monitoring.
  • Upload, update, and govern pricing and SKU correlation data within the designated price monitoring platform.
  • Perform comparative price analyses to evaluate price positioning, premiums and discounts, pricing gaps, and competitive trends across categories and markets.
  • Develop insights and recommendations to support strategic pricing architecture decisions, margin optimization, and market competitiveness.
  • Manipulate large data sets and create automated Excel models and calculations for scalable price benchmarking and reporting.
  • Prepare dashboards, reports, and executive presentations with clear and direct messages tailored to Marketing, Commercial teams, and senior leadership.
  • Partner cross-functionally to align analysis assumptions, validate findings, and drive data-based decision-making.
  • Monitor competitor pricing movements and market dynamics to identify risks, opportunities, and actions for the business.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing, commercial analytics, market intelligence, revenue management, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large and complex data sets and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including automation for pricing calculations and data manipulation; Power Query, VBA, or similar tools are strongly preferred.
  • Experience with competitive price analysis, SKU matching or product correlation, and price monitoring methodologies or platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear, concise, and executive-ready recommendations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data analysis/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Fluency in English (required). Spanish fluency is a differential (desired).
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and ability to work independently and across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
