Job Summary
FreeWheel is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Technical Writing Associate to drive client-facing documentation for the Strata platform. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality technical documentation that enables customer self-service, supports product adoption, and improves overall user experience.In addition to owning documentation delivery, this role will oversee modernization of Strata Traditional and OneStrata content, establish prioritization frameworks to focus on high-impact documentation, and contribute to improving how users discover and consume help content. This position offers growth potential for leadership and expanded oversight for individuals interested in influencing documentation standards, mentoring others, and shaping documentation strategy.
You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand client workflows, identify knowledge gaps, and implement scalable solutions that enhance productivity, reduce duplication, and support strategic initiatives. This role will lead the design, development, and maintenance of knowledge assets and systems, including large-scale content migrations, data governance, and AI-powered enablement tools.
This position is part of the Knowledge Management and Training team and reports directly to the Manager of Training. The position will begin as Virtual with the potential to move to Office Optimal out of the Chicago or New York office.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Own strategy, creation, and maintenance of client‑facing technical documentation for the Strata platform.
- Drive large‑scale modernization and cleanup of legacy and current documentation.
- Partner with product, training, and stakeholders to prioritize high‑impact documentation.
- Translate complex technical systems into clear, usable content for customers.
- Manage documentation lifecycle end‑to‑end, from discovery through publication and updates.
- Establish and enforce documentation standards, governance, and quality controls.
- Support product launches by delivering accurate, timely documentation updates.
- Apply project management discipline to meet timelines and manage risks.
- Improve knowledge management systems and documentation usability.
- Contribute to innovation, including AI‑driven documentation and self‑service solutions.

Primary Location Pay Range: $71,264.54 - $106,896.81This job can be performed in New York with a Pay Range of $71,264.54 - $117,586.49Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
