Your role and responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for selling Process Analytical Technology (PAT) products and solutions within the Analytical Business Line of the Process Automation / Measurement & Analytics Division. Your goal is to understand our customers’ individual requirements and provide tailored solutions that create real value. You will be responsible for achieving qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable growth in orders, revenue, profitability, and market share. With your expertise, you will act as a trusted partner to our customers, increase customer satisfaction, and identify and successfully develop new market opportunities together with them.
This role primarily supports the Analytical Business Line in the Bavaria region, with potential coverage also extending to parts of Baden-Württemberg and Switzerland. Key stakeholders include customers from the (petro)chemical, waste management, metals, automotive, and semiconductor industries, as well as internal teams such as Sales, Service, and Marketing.
You will join a dynamic team where you will have the opportunity to grow and develop.
Your main responsibilities
- Communicating with customers regarding delivery times, payment terms, and general terms and conditions in line with ABB’s offer and strategy
- Identifying and developing new market opportunities within the defined region to ensure sustainable growth
- Supporting administrative processes within the sales cycle and contributing to cash collection and project management activities when required
- Monitoring market and customer trends in close cooperation with the Marketing team to develop effective sales and marketing strategies
You will become part of a dedicated and dynamic team that works together to develop innovative solutions for our customers.
Qualifications for the role
- Successfully completed degree in Engineering, Natural Sciences, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification
- Ideally, experience in selling Process Analytical Technology or strong motivation to develop expertise in this exciting field
- Knowledge of continuous gas and liquid analysis as well as process engineering knowledge in the industries mentioned above, or the willingness to acquire this knowledge
- Ability to build, maintain, and develop customer relationships
- Cooperative and solution-oriented way of working combined with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent German and English language skills
