Summary:
Our growing company is seeking to hire a sales manager who will be responsible for supervising and organizing our sales team. You will be tasked with overseeing the activities and performance of your sales team by tracking sales goals, setting individual sales targets, and facilitating the ongoing training of your salespeople.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Trains and coaches a team of sales agents, collaborating with sales managers and program managers.
Organizes and oversees the schedules, and performance of sales agents.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Provides leadership to the sales team.
Motivates and encourages the sales team to ensure quotas are met.
Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports.
Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales
operations.
Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
Uphold employee compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
Strong leadership and supervisory abilities with a proven track record of coaching, developing, and motivating sales teams.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate expectations, provide feedback.
Demonstrated sales and customer service expertise, with the ability to drive performance toward targets.
Conflict resolution and problem‑solving skills for handling customer issues, staffing concerns, and operational challenges.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Time‑management and prioritization skills to balance coaching, team performance, and operational responsibilities.
Education, Training and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2–4 years of management experience, ideally in a sales‑driven environment.
Experience overseeing a sales team, including setting goals, monitoring performance, and conducting evaluations strongly preferred.
Experience using sales reporting tools or CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Power BI, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
Experience handling employee relations issues, including coaching, discipline, and documentation, in alignment with company policy.
Current Health Insurance Producer License preferred, or willingness to obtain one within a specified timeline.
The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $50,000 to $55,000 per year.
Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
