About the role

The IT Business Partner (Korea) acts as the primary IT interface for the Korean organization, ensuring strong alignment between business strategy and IT execution. Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

1. Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as trusted IT partner for Korean business leaders and key functions
  • Understand local business strategy, processes, and priorities and translate them into IT roadmaps and actions
  • Proactively identify digitalization, automation, and improvement opportunities
  • Ensure strong alignment with global IT standards, architectures, and security requirements

2. IT Demand Management (Core Responsibility)

  • Own the end-to-end IT demand lifecycle for Korea:
    - Business problem clarification and structuring
    - Requirement definition (functional & non-functional)
    - Scoping, cost estimation, benefit articulation
    - Prioritization and approval preparation
  • Guide business stakeholders through the ServiceNow-based IT demand process
  • Ensure demands contribute measurable business value and align with portfolio priorities
  • Coordinate with IT architecture, security, vendor management, and delivery teams

3. IT Project Management

  • Lead and manage IT projects of medium to high complexity, including:
    - New applications and system introductions
    - Infrastructure-related initiatives
    - Local and regional digital transformation projects
  • Own project scope, timeline, budget, risks, and stakeholder communication
  • Ensure structured handover into operations and ongoing support
  • Apply appropriate project management methodologies (waterfall / hybrid / agile)

4. Governance, Compliance & Coordination

  • Ensure compliance with:
    - Global IT policies
    - Information security standards (e.g. ISO 27001)
    - Legal, data protection, and local regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate local needs with global initiatives to avoid fragmentation
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and IT governance topics

5. Portfolio & Continuous Improvement

  • Manage and maintain transparency over local IT demand and project portfolio
  • Actively support prioritization and sequencing of initiatives
  • Continuously improve demand quality, project delivery, and business–IT collaboration

Qualification & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of professional experience in:
    - IT demand management and IT project management
    -
    IT Business Partnering, IT Business Analysis, or IT Consulting
    - Proven experience translating business needs into actionable IT solutions
    -
    Strong experience managing multiple stakeholders and parallel initiatives
    -
    Solid understanding of enterprise IT landscapes (SAP preferred)
    - Experience working in international and cross-cultural environments
    -
    Fluent in English and Korean (written and spoken)
