Job Description

iFIT’s vision is to create the world's most holistic health and fitness platform, integrating all elements of health - physical fitness, mental health, nutrition and active recovery - into a seamless interactive experience. We develop proprietary software that learns and adjusts to the habits of each person as it delivers immersive content that guides them on their own individual fitness journey.

 

We are currently seeking an ambitious pace-setter to join our team as a Senior UX Researcher in Logan, Utah or remotely in the US.

iFIT is looking for a strategic and highly skilled Senior UX Researcher to lead and execute research that shapes our product vision and drives user-centered design decisions. In this role, you will partner cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to uncover deep user insights, champion the voice of the customer, and help build world-class fitness experiences that users love.

ROLE COMMITMENTS

  • Support the subscription business through app-only product development research and insights.
  • Identify A/B testing opportunities by analyzing user data and challenging the team's assumptions with evidence-based findings.
  • Conduct foundational and evaluative mixed-method research to inform the software roadmap and future hardware product ideation.
  • Identify and prioritize user-centered needs and wants to guide product decision-making.
  • Increase visibility into UX research findings and methodologies for key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Integrate academic and scientific research into the team's decision-making process to elevate the rigor and credibility of insights.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, plan, and execute a wide range of UX research studies including usability testing, interviews, surveys, field studies, diary studies, ethnographic research, card sorting, tree testing, and A/B testing analysis.
  • Select and apply appropriate research methodologies to address specific product and business questions.
  • Manage end-to-end research projects, including recruitment, scheduling, moderation, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from various sources to identify user needs, behaviors, pain points, and motivations.
  • Identify patterns, themes, and actionable insights that drive product strategy and design decisions.
  • Translate complex research findings into clear, concise, and compelling narratives.
  • Effectively communicate research findings and recommendations to diverse audiences, including product managers, designers, engineers, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Create compelling presentations, reports, and artifacts such as user personas, journey maps, and experience flows that illustrate research insights.
  • Facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions to disseminate research findings and foster a user-centered mindset.
  • Partner closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other cross-functional teams to define research objectives, influence product roadmaps, and drive user-centered design solutions.
  • Proactively identify strategic research opportunities that can inform long-term product vision and innovation.
  • Champion user experience within the organization, advocating for the user at all stages of the product development lifecycle.
  • Mentor junior UX researchers and contribute to the growth and development of the research team.
  • Promote and evangelize best practices in UX research methodologies, ethics, and data privacy.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of research processes, tools, and frameworks within the organization.
  • Develop robust recruitment strategies and screeners to ensure the participation of relevant and diverse user segments.
  • Manage participant incentives and maintain ethical research practices related to data privacy and consent.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with various research tools including user testing platforms, survey software, qualitative analysis tools, and collaboration tools.
  • Leverage analytics platforms and A/B testing frameworks to integrate quantitative data into research findings.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Education and Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams to ship products and experiences that users love and derive value from.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have a growth mindset, passion for learning, and willingness to adapt and evolve your own perspective when collaborating with teammates.
  • Tremendous UX research and storytelling skills with the ability to clearly communicate insights to varied audiences.
  • Understanding of activation and onboarding, metrics-inspired design, a plus.
  • Ability to think in terms of the user life cycle.
  • Ability to take complicated workflows and elegantly streamline them.
  • Appreciation of the product development process, from problem-solving and system modeling to detailed design systems, UI, visual, and interaction design.
  • Ability to clearly articulate concepts and evangelize on their behalf.
  • A willingness to own problems, comfort with ambiguity, a desire to make things better, and a balanced sense of optimism and humility.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize deadlines and deliverables with an understanding of schedule impacts.

Pay Range:
$150,000$170,000 USD
