About the role

Position Summary

As a D2C e-Commerce Business Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the growth and performance of Samsung’s online business across the region.

Working closely with the Regional Head of Online Business and cross-functional teams, you will turn data into actionable insights that help shape commercial decisions, identify growth opportunities, and optimize business performance.

Role and Responsibilities

This role combines analytics, business partnering, and storytelling. Leveraging tools such as SQL, Python or R, along with visualization platforms like Power BI or Tableau, you will analyze large datasets, monitor key performance indicators, and develop meaningful reports and dashboards to support strategic decision-making, while also collaborating with stakeholders across multiple functions to ensure data accuracy and translate business requirements into impactful insights.

In this role, you will be responsible of:  

Business Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of e-commerce metrics and KPIs to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Develop business acumen over time to provide meaningful recommendations to drive online business

Data Analysis and Operations:

  • Extract, clean, and transform large datasets from various data sources to gain valuable insights.
  • Develop solutions to resolve issues from data ambiguity and incomplete information
  • Utilize Excel to create regularly updated reports and dashboards that communicate complex findings to stakeholders.
  • Perform statistical analysis and predictive modelling to identify opportunities and forecast sales.
  • Identify inefficiencies in the analysis and data extraction processes and propose solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives, including workflow optimization, automation, and standardization.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in business & data analysis, preferably in an e-commerce or retail setting or research consultancy firm
  • Experience working with large datasets in Excel and ability to use advanced functions such as index-match and string information manipulation
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Be comfortable receiving data/information in different languages and be able to use translation apps as necessary
  • Good attention to detail
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and/or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Familiarity with ecommerce performance metrics (e.g., NPS, conversion rates, traffic) is a plus, but not required
