Technical & Training Supervisor

You will deliver our technical expertise, training programs, and field support to our customers, distributors, and team members within the Automotive Refinish business. You will play a critical part in enhancing customer productivity, ensuring technical excellence and driving adoption of PPG products and digital solutions. You will work with Sales teams to improve customer performance and support projects, including important projects and new product introductions. You will report directly to Technical and Sales Manager based in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers, including bodyshops, automotive dealers, distributors, and manufacturing plants

• Resolve technical issues, ensuring application of PPG products

• Conduct on-site product demonstrations and process optimization at customer locations

• Guide the implementation of PPG digital tools across the organization (e.g., LINQ, MoonWalk, and DigiMatch)

• Deliver structured technical training programs for customers, distributors, and our teams

• Develop, enhance, and standardize comprehensive PPG training materials, including detailed manuals, instructional resources, and technical guidelines, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with organizational standards and operational requirements.

• Support certification programs to ensure skill levels across the network

• Train users on data-driven tools to improve efficiency and cost management

• Conduct testing and evaluate performance for new products

• Conduct technical benchmarking against competitor refinish products to evaluate performance, application efficiency, and finish quality.

• Provide improvement feedback and recommendations

• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with technical standards

• Identify opportunities to improve application processes, reduce waste, and enhance performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Automotive or related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical or training roles within Automotive Refinish

• Experience with coating systems, color mixing, and application processes

• Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects in both local language and English

• Deliver impactful presentations and conduct training sessions.

• Familiarity with digital color and paint management systems

• Customer-oriented mindset with technical problem-solving capabilities and field engagement

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
