We specialize in bridging the gap between OEM chassis production capabilities and the unique needs of fleet and vocational truck applications.The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for leading all inventory, warehouse, receiving, storage, material handling, and production material replenishment activities within the facility. This position ensures inventory accuracy, material availability, efficient warehouse operations, and continuous improvement of inventory management processes while supporting production schedules and customer commitments.
The Inventory Control Manager will lead initiatives to improve inventory control, warehouse organization, material flow, and operational efficiency while maintaining a safe, clean, and productive work environment.
Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counting, audits, and reconciliation activities.
Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure inventory accuracy and accountability.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and transaction errors.
Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with purchasing and production teams to ensure material availability.
Analyze inventory trends and recommend actions to minimize excess inventory and stockouts.
Lead physical inventory counts and ensure compliance with corporate inventory requirements.
Manage daily receiving, storage, material handling, and shipping activities.
Oversee the proper receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming materials and components.
Ensure all shipments are verified for accuracy and promptly distributed to designated locations.
Maintain warehouse organization utilizing lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
Develop and implement improved storage methods to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.
Ensure materials are stored safely and in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional warehouse environment.
Ensure timely replenishment of production lines to support manufacturing schedules.
Coordinate material movement between warehouse and production departments.
Oversee kitting and pre-assembly of materials and subcomponents for production operations.
Support production teams by ensuring required materials are available and delivered when needed.
Identify opportunities to improve material flow and reduce waste throughout the manufacturing process.
Manage inventory transactions within the company's ERP system.
Ensure accurate processing of receiving documents, inventory adjustments, transfers, and material transactions.
Maintain inventory reports, spreadsheets, and performance metrics.
Utilize Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools to analyze inventory performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Develop inventory reports and present findings to leadership as required.
Lead and develop warehouse and inventory personnel.
Establish performance expectations and provide coaching, training, and feedback.
Promote a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Identify and implement process improvements that increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve inventory accuracy.
Participate in lean manufacturing, TPM, and operational excellence initiatives.
Support company goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
Maintain safe operation of forklifts and material handling equipment.
Conduct regular inspections of warehouse operations and storage areas.
Support safety initiatives and participate in safety committee activities as required.
Promote a proactive safety culture throughout all warehouse operations.
